sebuah akun Facebook bernama Muhammad Naoval pada Kamis (4/7/2019).
Dalam unggahan tersebut, tampak pemuda berjuluk Rafdi itu tampil sederhana memakai baju lusuh serta beralaskan sandal jepit.
Laiknya kuli bangunan pada umumnya, ia tampak bekerja bersama bapak-bapak lain untuk mengeruk pasir di sebuah proyek.
Siapa sangka di balik penampilannya yang jauh dari kesan mewah, Rafdi ternyata bukan orang sembarangan.
Ia rupanya merupakan putra ketiga Wakil Walikota Tidore periode 2016-2021, Muhammad Sinen.

Dilansir Instagram @smart.gram pada (7/7/2019), Muhammad Sinen dengan tegas membenarkan kalau sosok itu adalah anaknya.
Dalam
penuturannya, ia mengaku memang mengajarkan sifat pekerja keras pada
sang anak sejak kecil untuk mencapai kehidupan yang lebih baik.
Tak pelak, kisah perjuangan Muhammad Rafdi Marajabessy ini menimbulkan tanda tanya di benak publik.

Pasalnya, anak pertama Sinen yang juga kakak Rafdi saat ini adalah pegawai honorer di rumah sakit di Tidore.
Sementara Rafdi sendiri terakhir mengenyam pendidikan di bangku sekolah menengah usai lulus dari SMA tahun 2017 silam.
Lama bungkam, Muhammad Rafdi Marajabessy akhirnya membeberkan alasannya ngotot bekerja sebagai kuli bangunan meski berstatus anak Wakil Walikota Tidore.
Dilansir Kompas.com (10/7/2019), Rafdi mengaku keputusannya ini terinspirasi dari ajaran hidup sang ayah.
“Saya katakan sama mereka bahwa sebe (ayah) sebelum menjadi wakil wali kota memulainya dari bawah dan saya ingin seperti sebe,” ujarnya saat ditemui Kompas.com di lokasi kerjanya sebagai kuli bangunan di Kota Tidore Kepulauan, Maluku, Selasa (9/7/2019).
Bukan tanpa aral rintangan, keputusan Muhammad Rafdi Marajabessy ternyata sempat berbuah cemoohan dari warga sekitar.
Ia bahkan menuturkan tak sedikit masyarakat yang mempertanyakan mengapa ia masih saja mengerjakan pekerjaan kasar dan tidak minta pekerjaan kantoran kepada ayahnya.
Alih-alih sakit hati, Rafdi memilih tak ambil pusing soal hal ini dan tetap bekerja demi menafkahi istri serta satu anaknya yang lahir tahun 2018 lalu.
“Saya tidak ambil pusing karena sebe selalu mengajarkan bahwa hidup itu keras. Kerja itu harus mulai dari bawah bukan dari atas ke bawah,” Rafdi menambahkan.
Reaksi sang ayah, Muhammad Sinen, pun tak kalah mengundang decak kagum.
Jika orang tua pada umumnya cenderung malu saat anaknya menjadi kuli bangunan, Muhammad Sinen justru memberikan dukungan kepada Rafdi agar terus bekerja.
“Sebe sering ke tempat saya kerja, biasanya di hari libur kerja. Kalau tidak datang, biasanya telepon menanyakan apakah hari ini kerja atau tidak,” ujarnya sekali lagi.
Dari pekerjaannya sebagai kuli bangunan ini, Rafdi mengaku tak bisa memperkirakan besaran upah yang ia dapatkan karena semuanya berdasarkan besaran proyek atau bangunan.
“Kalau misalkan pekerjaan bangunan sudah selesai dan belum ada pekerjaan baru, saya isi dengan ikut perahu pergi memancing. Kadang berhari-hari baru pulang,” kata Rafdi.
“Untuk lanjut sekolah sepertinya tidak mungkin. Saya ingin mengikuti jejak ayah yang memulai pekerjaan dari bawah, kemudian menjadi politisi, anggota DPRD, hingga wakil wali kota,” pungkasnya. (*)
